First and foremost, thank you for being willing to advocate on behalf of the apartment industry. We hope this Affiliate Toolkit will become a valuable resource for you and your members as you seek to lobby on behalf of the apartment industry at the local level. Enclosed you will find information regarding how to:

  • Stay informed of and respond to proposed policy changes at the local level.
  • Contact and engage with local elected officials.
  • Strategize when responding to a proposed policy change that may impact the industry.
  • Respond to media inquiries.

In addition, the Affiliate Toolkit contains information regarding a variety of public policy issues as they relate to the State of Florida. This content is intended to provide relevant background information for you to use when approaching these topics with local policymakers in your area. Please be advised, the National Apartment Association also provides a variety of resources on these topics and how they impact the industry on the national scale online at www.naahq.org.
